ARRA Reports for the Quarter ending June 30, 2012

Reports are available in the ARRA Reporting Portal for the reporting quarter ending June 30, 2012. We encourage departments to begin reviewing and updating your ARRA funds now. The final BAIRS update of financial information in the ARRA Portal will occur on July 1, 2012. Departments must input and submit all ARRA quarterly reports to EFA no later than July 5, 2012.

Additional guidance and information on the reporting requirements for ARRA awards can be found on the ARRA website.

ARRA Portal Access

Users must be authorized to input/submit data in the ARRA Reporting Portal. Department Managers should complete an ARRA Access Request Form to activate access for new employees or to deactivate access for departing employees. The completed request form should be emailed to efahelp@berkeley.edu.  All access requests must be received by 5:00 pm, June 28, 2012 to be active for this reporting cycle.

The ARRA Access Request Form can be found under Tools section of the ARRA page.

Subrecipient Reporting Requirements

Subrecipients on our ARRA prime awards have been delegated the responsibility for quarterly ARRA reporting.  Subrecipients are required to submit all required data to federalreporting.gov by July 5, 2012.  Campus departments should ensure that their ARRA funded subrecipients submit the required data elements by the due date.  Jobs data is the only data element that subrecipients cannot enter directly into federalreporting.gov.  Subrecipients must provide the jobs data to the campus department administering the subaward and the campus department should include the jobs data as part of their ARRA report submission.

ARRA Funding ending September 30, 2013

As a reminder, ARRA funds are required to be spent by September 30, 2013.  If these funds are not spent by that date, federal agencies are required to reclaim them to the extent permitted by law.  Campus departments should take the appropriate actions to ensure that any remaining ARRA funds are utilized for appropriate purposes in a timely manner.

The Office of Management and Budget Memorandum 11-34 directing federal agencies to ensure the funds are spent by this date may be found at http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/omb/memoranda/2011/m11-34.pdf.
