Course description

This course (BECTR250) is an introduction to the Chart of Accounts and the Berkeley Financial System. Some of the topics that are covered are UC Berkeley’s “chart of accounts”, BFS, and BAIRS.

Course objectives

At the end of this course you should understand:

1. Chart of Accounts and Organizational Tree structure,
2. Components of our general ledger system (Berkeley Financial System),
3. Types of reporting in BAIRS, and
4. Roles and responsibilities within BFS
