Campus Recharge Committee

Statement of Purpose

The Campus Recharge Committee shall serve as the Berkeley campus official on all recharge activities in the following manner:

  1. Recommend changes to the Vice Chancellor of Administration and Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost, as appropriate, in the University's recharge policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  2. Review for technical compliance the methodology for establishing recharge rates as stated in the University's Direct Costing Policy on a timely basis.
  3. Analyze and make recommendations, i.e., in costing methodology, or the need to create, expand, reduce or eliminate a recharge activity.
  4. Advise senior campus officials on concerns related to recharges such as trends, changes in policies and techniques in cost containment.
  5. Provide training, advice, guidance, and consultation to recharge unit managers.
