WORKSHOP SERIES: HOW TO CREATE A TRAINING VIDEO
One of the significant challenges in designing a training video is creating content that captivates the audience and causes learners to sit up, take notice, and learn.
With this in mind, the Controller’s Office is pleased to announce a series of workshops designed to teach video-making skills. This program will teach you how to transform a casual demonstration by a subject-matter expert into an engaging and thoughtful training video.
During this training, we will explore Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, and TechSmith Camtasia. We will also discuss storyboard development, scripting, voice-over narration, and accessibility. The training is offered through a series of two-hour workshops spread out over three months. At the conclusion of the program, each participant will demonstrate their skills by creating a training video relevant to their organization.
Since this is a hands-on course, class size will be limited to no more than four participants. Do not submit a request to enroll in this program unless you can attend ALL the workshops and have access to a laptop computer with all the prerequisite software installed. This course is for newcomers to video editing who are serious about creating training videos. Prior experience is not required.
