BFS Update - May 2021

Overview

The Berkeley Financial System (BFS) team is performing an upgrade to the BFS system in order to stay up-to-date with security recommendations and best practices, and ensure that BFS continues to be supported by Oracle. The upgrade will take place in May, 2021. The primary changes are visual - to the general look and feel of the homepage and many of the other pages.

Go-live activities for this initiative will take place from Saturday, May 29, 2021, to Monday, May 31, 2021, and the system will be available as usual on Tuesday, June 1. This will make the application current, improve security, and ensure that Oracle supports BFS.

System testing is occurring now. User Acceptance testing will be occurring in early May. Direct communications will be sent to those participating in the test cycles.
